Linkerd has used Gateway API to talk about managing different classes of traffic since Linkerd 2.12, and folks all over the Kubernetes ecosystem are jumping on the Gateway API bandwagon. This "most collaborative API in Kubernetes" is, by most accounts, proving very successful.
